Meet the Team
Pulane, Dental Assistant
Pulane assists Dr. Black chairside, and helps keep us organized. She joined our practice in January 2011 and is currently studying science at Northern Virginia Community College. Pulane enjoys keeping patients comfortable and helping them understand procedures and treatments. She appreciates that the team is always willing to help others and sincerely cares about our patients. Pulane lives in Reston, VA, and she loves traveling, cooking, and practicing martial arts to stay in shape.
Sherri, Dental Assistant
Sherri has been dental assisting for three years and really enjoys dentistry. "There's always something to learn. Every patient is special and different, and the finishing touches of a procedure are very rewarding to me". Outside of work Sherri enjoys sewing and knitting and admits to being a "crafty nerd". Sherri's favorite food is spaghetti and her favorite drink is a Pina Colada Island (a non-alcoholic smoothie).
Terrie, Practice Administrator
Terrie brings years of experience in customer service to our practice. She joined us in 2010 and handles everything from insurance verification and documentation to welcoming patients and discussing treatment plans. Terrie loves working with people and problem solving, and she finds fulfillment in both as our patient care coordinator. She is also grateful to work with such a warm, friendly team. In her spare time, Terrie likes to hang out with her family. Both her son and daughter travel with their soccer teams, and Terrie plays tennis.
Kate, Hygienist
Kate has three years of experience as a dental hygienist and seven total years within the dental industry, as well as an associate degree in dental hygiene. She’s committed to delivering comfortable, one-on-one care and showing patients how they can more effectively care for their teeth and gums. When she’s not at the office, Kate loves hanging out with friends, cooking, trying new restaurants, and going to concerts. She also adores her dog, Doolittle.
Chelsea, Front Desk/Assistant
Chelsea has been helping us schedule appointments and greet patients since joining our team in 2011. Her upbeat personality perfectly complements our office’s friendly, outgoing environment. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, where she lived with her military family, she now calls Herndon home. In her spare time she loves hanging out with friends and listening to music.
